Pensando la comunicación, los medios comunitarios y el sexismo desde el texto de la Ley Orgánica de Comunicación (2013) de Ecuador

Abstract

La Ley Orgánica de Comunicación, que fuese aprobada en el 2013 en Ecuador, aunque reconoció varios derechos a las y los ciudadanos del país y propuso un reparto equitativo del espectro radioeléctrico de la nación entre medios públicos, privados y comunitarios, alimentó un limitado concepto de comunicación, impuso formalmente maneras de operar a los medios comunitarios, y soslayó la necesidad de registrar formas de prevenir o eliminar el sexismo en los productos de lo que llamó “medios de comunicación social†. El presente trabajo se enfoca en hacer un repaso de los vacíos que, en relación a estos tres aspectos, quedaron en el texto.
