Biogás: uma fonte de energia sustentável

Abstract

Os sistemas de produção de suínos geram grandes quantidades de dejetos que podem ser tratados convertendo-se matéria orgânica em biogás, que é uma fonte alternativa de energia, para alimentação de geradores de eletricidade, no entanto isso também tem causado problemas ambientais fruto da concentração e aumento de escala da atividade. A geração e o aproveitamento do biogás a partir desses resíduos se mostra como uma alternativa interessante, pois permite o aproveitamento do biogás gerado em biodigestores como fonte de energia térmica e elétrica, reduzindo os custos provenientes da demanda energética. Este estudo vem agregar conhecimento para fonte de energias a partir da biomassa de dejetos de suínos.
