Importância das árvores para melhora no conforto térmico de vias públicas urbanas

Abstract

A urbanização é o processo de transformação de um espaço natural ou rural em espaço urbano. O processo de urbanização brasileira sofreu profundas mudanças a partir da década de 1940, pois de uma sociedade agrícola transformou-se em uma sociedade urbano-industrial, situação consolidada no final da década de 1960. A sociedade moderna tem se concentrado cada vez mais nas cidades ocorrendo, consequentemente, a transformação deste ambiente, alterando a qualidade de vida dos que trabalham e vivem ali. Desta forma, torna-se importante a identificação das alterações ambientais e climáticas ocorridas de forma a subsidiar tomadas de decisões quanto ao adequado planejamento das cidades. Dessa forma, verifica-se a importância das florestas urbanas para qualidade de vida de seus usuários.
