Análise do setor Varejista Brasileiro pela perspectiva do faturamento

Abstract

O objetivo deste artigo foi determinar o grau de concentração de mercado do setor varejista brasileiro e analisar suas perspectivas para o mercado, considerando os dados de faturamento das maiores empresas do segmento, coletados em um banco de dados no período de 2015. Utilizou-se como método de análise os cálculos de Market Share, a Taxa de Concentração de Mercado (TCM) e o à ndice Herfindahl-Hirschman (IHH), visando analisar o mercado vigente. Os resultados foram obtidos utilizando-se o software Microsoft Excel para a organização e tratamento dos dados. Concluiu-se que o mercado estudado é de baixa concentração, com a Taxa de Concentração de Mercado de 49% no ano de 2015, além de constatar a grande influência de empresas estrangeiras no setor.
