A abordagem ambiental na geografia: elementos para uma discussão sobre teoria e método

Abstract

O presente artigo busca desenvolver uma abordagem integradora do meio ambiente à luz das mudanças paradigmáticas na geografia moderna e contemporânea com ênfase nos conceitos de meio ambiente e paisagem. Surge, assim, em meio às discussões, uma preocupação de ordem epistemológica no que se refere à construção desse novo “olhar†geográfico com relação à noção de meio ambiente, a qual pode ser interpretada à luz de várias tendências filosóficas. A partir de um levantamento bibliográfico sobre a temática proposta, o artigo irá primeiramente tratar sobre a visão moderna e contemporânea de natureza para entender o conceito de meio ambiente e no segundo momento será realizada uma análise sobre a abordagem ambiental a partir da categoria paisagem, elo integrador entre o natural e o social.
