Abstract

O estudo fundamenta-se nos pressupostos teóricos que embasam os conceitos de patrimônio cultural, memória, território, espaço, territorialidade e capital humano, tendo como vertente primordial a encenação teatral da Retirada da Laguna no contexto da Guerra do Paraguai, que acontece anualmente em Nioaque - MS, desde 2004. As reflexões acerca desse fato histórico permeiam a memória dos habitantes locais rememorados por seus antepassados que enfatizam as relações fronteiriças entre Brasil e Paraguai.
