Geografia e música: notas introdutórias do Samba em Porto Velho - RO

Abstract

O trabalho tem por escopo analisar as relações entre Geografia e Música, com o suporte dos métodos fenomenológico, da história oral de vida e da semiótica musical, considerando as experiências construídas com base no projeto “Lugar e Memória: uma análise das composições de Ernesto Melo e a Fina Flor do Samba†, em desenvolvimento no Mestrado em Geografia da Universidade Federal de Rondônia. Ernesto Melo e a Fina Flor do Samba é um grupo musical conhecido da cena urbana de Porto Velho/RO, que possui obra própria extensa e marcada pelo gênero samba, além de atuar como intérprete dos principais sambistas nacionais.
