Cartera de productos y rentabilidad en empresas de seguros del Ecuador

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación gira en torno a las variables cartera de productos (tipos de seguros) y la rentabilidad alcanzada por las empresas de seguros, que operan en el mercado ecuatoriano. Para su desarrollo se realizó una revisión bibliográfica documental y se trata además de una investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva, no experimental, los datos recolectados corresponden a 2015, y se analizaron a nivel porcentual con base en la estadística descriptiva. Destacan en el sector asegurador ecuatoriano tres empresas en los rubros, participación de mercado, activos, patrimonio, utilidades y cartera de procutos, y ya en el análisis de generación de indicadores como ROA y ROE surgen nuevos actores, que sin ser de los grandes ni los de mayor diversificación de productos obtienen resultados favorables.
