Homens, mulheres e modos de vestir na maturidade

Abstract

Este artigo tem como objetivo principal refletir acerca das mudanças e das permanências nas maneiras de vestir das mulheres e dos homens que se encontram na maturidade – com mais de 60 anos –, levando em consideração os diferenciais de gênero e partindo do pressuposto de que o vestir-se é um fator marcante na determinação dos papéis sociais atribuídos a esses grupos. Ao considerarmos as definições de gênero a partir de determinadas construções discursivas, observamos que o vestir-se ou a própria indumentária tem servido como um fator marcante na determinação dos papéis sociais atribuídos a homens e mulheres relativamente à maneira de se portarem em relação à sua sexualidade.
