El conocimiento campesino como elemento de desarrollo local-endógeno de los urbicultores del valle de Tehuacán, Puebla

Abstract

Se identificó la presencia de innovación proveniente del conocimiento campesino, como resultado de una cultura milenaria en el manejo agrícola, que actualmente se refleja en su aplicación en los huertos urbanos de la zona urbana de Tehuacán, Puebla; dicho elemento es nuclear para los procesos de desarrollo local, pues revaloriza la importancia de las capacidades endógenas y toma a la cultura cómo determinante de éste tipo de desarrollo, así mismo los agricultores urbanos presentan la capacidad de respuesta ante la incertidumbre resultante de constantes cambios en las políticas nacionales e internacionales de tipo neoliberal, por medio de la obtención de alimentos para autoconsumo; que si bien se hace uso parcial de las técnicas y tecnologías recibidas desde arriba, la adaptación hacia la propia cultura, juega un papel preponderante para la apropiación de los huertos.
