El patrimonio cultural tangible del Centro Histórico de la ciudad de Zacatecas (México)

Abstract

Este trabajo presenta los resultados de una investigación, cuyo objetivo fue revelar los “nuevos†significados que manifiestan los edificios-patrimonio de la ciudad de Zacatecas, México, para esclarecer suy posibles usos con fines de turismo cultural y remanente económico de la misma ciudad, lo cual requiere mejoras en la infraestructura de la industria turística (hotelería, restaurantes, servicios y recintos culturales). El estudio realizado mostró que para los turistas el valor principal del Centro Histórico de la ciudad de Zacatecas está en su estética, omitiendo su valor como elementos simbólicos de un pueblo con herencia histórica. Los imaginarios sociales consideran el espacio urbano zacatecano sólo como el lugar idóneo para rentabilizar el ocio, de ahí que es necesario reformular el proyecto para el Centro Histórico de la ciudad de Zacatecas que integre no sólo los intereses relacionados con la producción económica, también que sea respetuoso de los valores culturales que representa y que permite recrear.
