Los indicadores como herramientas en la transformación y conservación del contexto local

Abstract

Fomentar la participación ciudadana en los asuntos públicos, constituye una de las prioridades de los gobiernos para mejorar la transparencia de la información pública y establecer nuevos mecanismos de participación en la elaboración de políticas públicas, a nivel cantonal. Una de las alternativas ha sido la creación de los Consejos Barriales. Socialización de la información, para conocer su entorno y producir nuevos conocimientos que conllevan a definir nuevas propuestas de acciones para contribuir al desarrollo del barrio. El método utilizado ha sido la investigación documental identificando y valorando las fuentes de información utilizable a partir del sistema de información nacional unido a la identificación de la información relevante a nivel del barrio teniendo en cuenta el contexto local, identificando la línea base para la transformación del entorno con los propios actores de la comunidad y sus instituciones. El diseño de sus indicadores de desarrollo local, permitirá la proyección estratégica de sus comunidades en función de la visión de los consejos barriales.
