Jóvenes que no trabajan ni estudian ni están en capacitación. Los NINI: el caso Nicaragua

Abstract

Usando la información disponible en la Encuesta de Medición del Nivel de Vida 2014, se estudia y analizan las características de los jóvenes nicaragüenses que no trabajan, no estudian, ni están en capacitación laboral. Se encuentra que en general existen 1, 381,804 NINI en Nicaragua de los cuales el 65.20% son hombres y 34.80% son mujeres. Factores asociados como la tenencia de teléfono celular aumenta la probabilidad de ser NINI, así como también el contar con servicios de internet o casa claro. Los resultados demuestran la importancia de la acumulación de capital humano.
