Abstract

Ecuador cuenta con cuatro regiones que han dado lugar a un sinnúmero de especies en relación a la flora y fauna, logrando extensivas riquezas naturales, culturales y patrimoniales. El turismo se ha convertido en una de las herramientas más importantes para el desarrollo socio económico del país; por tal motivo ha generado que dichos sectores se vuelvan competitivos para ofertar zonas turísticas; para ello necesitan de lineamientos e imagen que definan la seriedad, calidad y eficiencia del servicio o producto que se oferte. En el Plan Nacional para el Buen Vivir, existen objetivos y estrategias que están encaminadas a promover la promoción y difusión de los recursos naturales, culturales y patrimoniales en concordancia con la Constitución y el Código Orgánico de Organización Territorial, Autonomía y Descentralización (COOTAD). Basados en estas leyes los Gobiernos Autónomos Descentralizados (GAD) han asumido la competencia de fortalecer, apoyar al turismo y al prestador de este servicio.
