Desmistificando A Literatura Infantil: Um Olhar Reflexivo Sobre O Mã Gico De Oz

Abstract

O Mágico de Oz, romance classificado como literatura infantil e publicado no fim do século XIX, sugere discussões a respeito de temas como política e preconceito, dentre outros. Objetivamos observar tais temas a partir de elementos que podem ser encontrados na obra. Primeiramente, trabalharemos com definições sugeridas por alguns autores a respeito de “literatura infantil†, tentando entender como elas se aplicam à obra estudada. No momento seguinte, analisaremos os personagens de O Mágico de Oz que contribuem para as reflexões a respeito dos temas, apresentados por fim. Concluímos que embora classificado como literatura infantil, o romance de L. Frank Baum pode ser lido em diferentes faixas etárias.
