Abstract

O Distrito de Icoaraci, em Belém-PA, é um dos principais pólos de artesanato da Região Norte. O presente estudo objetivou definir o perfil socioeconômico e produtivo de artesãos-comerciantes e a satisfação dos consumidores locais por meio de entrevistas com questionários estruturados, na Feira do Artesanato, no Bairro Paracuri. A análise dos dados ocorreu por meio da estatística descritiva e de forma qualitativa. Os profissionais entrevistados, homens e mulheres, foram adultos, instruídos formalmente, organizados em associações e têm o trabalho exclusivamente voltado ao artesanato de cerâmicas, com comércio em lojas físicas e outros meios para comercialização e divulgação. Os consumidores, que podem ser locais ou turistas, buscam mercadorias para diferentes finalidades, e estão satisfeitos com os atributivos da Feira, principalmente a qualidade e diversidade da produção. Há a necessidade de ações do Poder Público e da mobilização dos profissionais para sanar as fragilidades vigentes relacionadas ao marketing, segurança e infraestrutura do local.
