Abstract

Tomando en cuenta que varios sectores sociales (empresarios, sindicalistas, periodistas, intelectuales y viandantes) prosiguen, dolosa o culposamente, dificultando y condicionando la democracia republicana, consagrada en la Carta Magna, este trabajo hace foco en su némesis: el comportamiento populista, y en una cosmovisión más centrada en la conveniencia económica personal o sectorial que en los principios institucionales. Partiendo de la lúcida caracterización de un escritor argentino contemporáneo profundiza consideraciones hechas en trabajos previos mediante el abordaje tanto de la prevalencia de las opiniones superficiales sobre los juicios críticos y reflexivos, como de la vigencia del realismo mágico, ambas obstáculos de la antedicha democracia, y facilitadoras, a la vez, del retorno del populismo, piedra angular de la decadencia argentina.
