Abstract

As mudanças constantes no cenário mundial provocam reflexões sobre a importância da inovação e de novas formas de gestão, assim o cooperativismo aparece como uma forma a unir pessoas para atender as suas necessidades e paralelamente incentivar o desenvolvimento regional. Esse artigo visa demonstrar a parceria da Cooperativa Regional Agrária Mãe Terra (COPERTERRA) com a Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. A efetiva relação entre as duas organizações. Esse processo tornou-se um ponto fundamental para a geração de conhecimentos, colaborando no crescimento e no desenvolvimento da educação na UFSM. A cooperativa participa de projetos como o programa de alimentação escolar (PAA), sendo nesse processo uma das entidades beneficiadas a própria universidades que adquire uma parcela dos produtos. A relação possui uma grande relevância ao envolver vários cursos da UFSM tanto a nível técnico, de graduação e pós-graduação.
