La Vinculaciã“N Con La Sociedad Y La Universidad Pãšblica En El Ecuador

Abstract

La vinculación con la sociedad es una de las tres funciones sustantivas de la Universidad; sin embargo, históricamente ha sido la función menos atendida en las instituciones de educación superior (à ngeles, 1992). Se sigue la concepción de Minteguiaga y Prieto (2013) en el presente artículo y se evidencia la realidad ecuatoriana dentro del concepto de vinculación con la sociedad en diferentes instituciones latinoamericanas, explicando la falta de identidad de esta función. La Universidad, a través de la vinculación con la sociedad, puede lograr un gran dinamismo en su relación dialéctica con la sociedad. Algunos autores plantean la necesidad de transformar la gestión de la vinculación con la sociedad como estrategia para consolidar su desarrollo en nuestras instituciones; sin embargo, se concibe a la vinculación con la sociedad como una condición impostergable de legitimación de la universidad con su entorno y el buen vivir de la comunidad.
