Abstract

A gestão pública brasileira vem se valendo de várias estratégias da chamada gestão moderna dentro do contexto de mudança organizacional. A implementação de um escritório de processos como disseminador e órgão centralizador da gestão por processos de negócios ou Business Process Management (BPM) é um exemplo de estratégia de mudança nas organizações diante do cenário atual. Este trabalho demonstra a formação e atuação de um escritório de processos em uma Instituição Federal de Ensino Superior, a Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. A partir de uma nova proposta, a visão no modo de como gerir processos e estruturas é modificada, e, consequentemente, vantagens para a Instituição como um todo podem ser percebidas.
