Abstract

El presente trabajo analizó las expresiones ideológicas generadas entre las diferentes capas, clases y grupos sociales, a partir de la recepción de la Guerra Civil Española en Cienfuegos: una ciudad cubana del centro-sur del país, durante los años en los que se desarrolló el conflicto (1936-1939).Se verificó la existencia de pocas investigaciones de este tipo en el resto de las regiones y localidades del país ya que la mayor parte de las realizadas en Cuba hasta el momento han tomado a La Habana como centro de atención. Para llevar a cabo su estudio se consultaron fuentes bibliográficas, periodísticas y documentales, que a través del método general de la crítica histórica, permitieron reconstruir los aspectos esenciales del tema objeto de análisis y develar aspectos inéditos de la sociedad cienfueguera durante la etapa de referencia. Asimismo el estudio se suma a los esfuerzos por dar cuenta de las múltiples formas en que se manifestó la solidaridad internacional con la República Española.
