Abstract

O presente texto objetiva discutir os obstáculos existentes na elaboração e na inserção de práticas de conservação preventiva em Casas-Museu. Muitas instituições classificadas nesta tipologia museal não praticam de maneira periódica ações de conservação preventiva. Exercem de maneira purista a rotina de manutenção empregada a uma residência habitada, não atendendo a técnicas e normas que uma instituição de guarda deve seguir neste aspecto. Espera-se com este artigo fomentar a discussão sobre as práticas de conservação preventiva em Casas-Museu.
