Turismo Religioso Fuente De Ingresos De Turistas Nacionales Y Extranjeros En La Ciudad De Guayaquil

Abstract

El turismo religioso en el Ecuador es una temática de análisis en respuesta a la diversidad de creyentes, eventos, festividades religiosas y a la vez la búsqueda de nuevas tendencias y captación de demandas turísticas en la ciudad puerto principal de Guayaquil, razones fundamentales para proceder a esta investigación. El análisis del presente estudio consistió en examinar un desplazamiento de turismo religioso a gran escala, como fue la Visita del Papa Francisco a la ciudad de Guayaquil, lo cual dio lugar a movimientos no solo a nivel nacional, sino también internacional. Como objetivo general se pretendió analizar la demanda de turismo religioso cultural para fomentar el desplazamiento de turistas nacionales y extranjeros en la ciudad de Guayaquil. La población de estudio fue de 307 personas encuestadas, además de las entrevistas realizadas a diversos involucrados en el tema. Se obtuvo como resultado que el turismo religioso es fomentado por la espiritualidad e interés de las personas a desplazarse a distintos lugares del territorio que tienen orígenes arraigados en la cultura y religión. Luego del análisis de datos se concluye que además de los motivos intrínsecos de desplazamiento, la gestión turística debe crear una demanda mediante la utilización estratégica de promoción de este tipo de destinos.
