Abstract

En este artículo se describe la influencia que la tecnología tiene en el campo de la educación y como esta tecnología bien empleada ayuda al desarrollo del proceso educativo que impactará de manera positiva en todo el quehacer social. Así mismo, se pone de manifiesto el papel de la virtualidad en el desarrollo profesional y personal de los estudiantes que por razones geográficas, labores o económicas no pueden cursar sus estudios universitarios de manera presencial. Aquí también se describe el esfuerzo que la Universidad veracruzana está haciendo para brindarles mayores oportunidades de desarrollo a los ciudadanos a través de la Licenciatura en la Enseñanza del Inglés (Modalidad Virtual) de la Facultad de Idiomas, basada en un modelo integral y flexible. Finalmente, se describe la influencia que los paradigmas holístico y hermenéutico-interpretativo, la pedagogía activa y la didáctica activa han tenido en el diseño de este programa virtual.
