Abstract

La minería como una de las actividades económicas importantes en algunos de los países latinoamericanos, expone de manera abierta y cruda unas realidades sociales, ambientales, ecológicas, económicas, sanitarias y políticas que se concretan en la extracción irracional de los minerales de la tierra. Como parte de esta revisión teórica se presentan una serie de elementos y categorías de análisis a la luz de la actividad extractivista como la entrega de núcleos estratégicos nacionales al capital transnacional, justicia ambiental, acumulación por desposesión, neoliberalismo, necesidades reales y percibidas, el antropocentrismo y el ecocentrismo.
