Comfort Food - Alimentando As Memã“Rias E Sensaã‡Ã•Es

Abstract

Este ensaio teórico visa contextualizar a importância da globalização para a comfort food, compreender os efeitos da memória gustativa das “comidas conforto†naqueles que as consomem e analisar comparativamente as semelhanças e/ou diferenças das escolhas de consumo destes alimentos no Brasil e nos Estados Unidos. Foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográficas de artigos e matérias em língua estrangeira, devido a ausência de documentos sobre o tema das “comidas conforto†em português, sendo as publicações acerca deste tema, em sua maioria, relacionados à área da Saúde, dificultando as conclusões acerca da realidade das comfort food em território brasileiro. O trabalho conclui que as comidas conforto (comfort foods) dependem da localidade, período e tecnologias utilizadas para sua produção, bem como da cultura e sociedade que as consomem.
