Abstract

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo realizar um estudo de caso da comunidade pesqueira do município de São João da Ponta quanto aos aspectos sociais, econômicos e produtivos para revelar um cenário diferenciado dentro da cadeia produtiva do caranguejo e demonstrar que o custo de produção é elemento central invisível para os pescadores que desconhecem esse elemento na composição do preço final de venda do caranguejo ao mercado. Fato que corrobora para a precarização do trabalho e a exploração do pescador artesanal de caranguejo.
