Abstract

El estudio se refiere a la aplicación del término patología y similares en el universo de los textos científicos del congresos de la ABRACOR - Asociación Brasileña de los Conservadores-Restauradores - publicados entre el años 1985-2009, referencias en las aulas en Brasil. Se parte de la hipótesis de que una apropiación inconsistente es la razón por la cual muchos de los términos utilizados en la Conservación y Restauración se presentan de forma ambigua o incierta del punto de vista semántico. La investigación buscó identificar la frecuencia del uso, así como señalar el sentido pretendido, en otras palabras, la adecuacion en que se aplican estos términos. Se examinó el perfil de los autores, esbozando explicaciones para estas variaciones terminológicas. El estudio apunta a la necesidad de discutir la terminología que se emplea en la Conservación y Restauración, y plantea el problema de la identidad del conservador-restaurador los bienes culturales muebles del siglo XXI.
