Abstract

O presente estudo aborda a importância da comunidade local na efetivação de políticas públicas alternativas e comunitárias de pacificação de conflitos. São pontuados e discutidos os principais fatores que circundam o empoderamento da comunidade até a transformação de toda uma sociedade. Cotejado esses aspectos, apresenta-se as novas formas de pacificação dos conflitos – a mediação comunitária e as práticas restaurativas – que correspondem a mecanismos aptos para (re)estabelecer a comunicação entre todos os atores sociais. Ao constatar essa interessante parceria, aliada a políticas públicas, induz-nos a trabalhar com a lógica da emancipação do sujeito e, por consequência, na concretização de direitos fundamentais.
