Abstract

En el presente artículo de investigación se indagó sobre los efectos e impactos que tienen los medios de comunicación, específicamente la televisión, sin dejar de analizar brevemente la repercusión de las nuevas tecnologías, en la construcción de conceptos políticos en la mente de los jóvenes en la ciudad de la ciudad de Guayaquil - Ecuador. Se buscó conocer como definen estos individuos las palabras Identidad, Política, Ideología, Democracia, Patria, Nación, el sentido geopolítico y más específicamente la identidad política propia. Por ejemplo, la identidad es un término en construcción, no hay una definición consensuada del mismo. Los jóvenes televidentes son inducidos a pensar en función de lo que la televisión muestra. La imagen impacta, conmueve y convence. El poder de la imagen se coloca en el centro de todos los procesos de la política actual. (Sartori, 1997).
