Abstract

En este texto ofrecemos algunos ejemplos de cómo el desarrollo de la tecnología y sus aplicaciones más actuales y modernas pueden mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas o crear aparatos y redes que materializan ideas interesantes y productivas para la sociedad, facilitando procesos, ampliando oportunidades o modificando algunas situaciones injustas que pueden cambiar para mejor. Es un recorrido por algunas de las oportunidades, desafíos y elementos influidos por la tecnología que han cambiado o modificado el estado de las cosas y de las personas en estas últimas décadas o que prometen un futuro más interesante, donde muchas de las fantasías de ciencia ficción que aparecían en los libros pueden hacerse realidad, una realidad palpable y factible.
