Abstract

O presente artigo aborda a interdependência entre conceitos de direitos humanos, responsabilidade moral e pobreza extrema, fortalecendo a exigibilidade de uma maior proteção ao homem. O estudo visa a demonstrar a hermenêutica jurídica como condizente com a realidade social e como fomentadora da dignidade da pessoa humana. Os principais marcos teóricos utilizados são Tom Campbell, Thomas Pogge, Joaquin Herrera Flores e Amartya Sen, que na esteira de Immanuel Kant, colocam o homem como centro das coisas e questionam a ordem social excludente.
