Abstract

Este artículo pretende acercarnos a las actividades empresariales de dos mujeres peninsulares en la capital de la Nueva España durante el siglo XVI, centrándonos en el mundo de los negocios y en el de los trabajos autónomos. Para conseguirlo se ha trabajado básicamente con la documentación notarial y se han repasado ejemplos de mujeres que especialmente en el ámbito urbano trabajaron en el mundo empresarial, ya fueran en actividades comerciales o de manufactura.
