Abstract

O artigo objetiva discutir sobre as condições de trabalho dos coveiros na cidade de Parintins, Estado do Amazonas, sinalizando o impacto na saúde desses trabalhadores. Trata-se de uma pesquisa realizada com quatro coveiros à luz da abordagem qualitativa com uso de formulários envolvendo questões abertas e fechadas. Refletir sobre tal temática se faz relevante, tendo em vista o local em que estão inseridos, muitas vezes de forma inadequado. Os resultados evidenciam alguns pontos que desvelam a precarização no processo de trabalho desses trabalhadores, tais como: salários baixos, insalubridade no lócus de atuação, desconhecimento sobre seus direitos trabalhistas, entre outros.
