Abstract

O propósito deste texto é resgatar uma reflexão sobre as formas e processos que introduzem a (re) produção das cidades. Sendo a cidade protagonista e reflexa da materialização perversa, a serviço do capital, em desdém das reais necessidades humanas. Refletiremos sobre um conceito fundamental, porém complexo e pertinente da Geografia enquanto Ciência. Ao falarmos de fronteira, temos que ser minimamente comovidos com o acordo deste conceito com outros, tão importante quanto das ciências geográficas ou outras ciências afins. Fronteira, assim como região, por si só, são conceitos socialmente determinados, dependentes dos indicadores de interesses que lhes constroem e destroem, com bases nos referenciais culturais e ideológicos de dominação e pertencimento ou não pertencimento.
