Abstract

En América Latina actualmente se han establecido acuerdos de integración y cooperación en el marco de la solidaridad y la igualdad, entre las diversas naciones que componen la región. Estos procesos son una síntesis de las luchas populares, que desde finales del siglo XX permitieron el surgimiento de gobiernos y movimientos que han impulsado la nueva integración latinoamericana inspirados bajo los planteamientos doctrinales de Simón Bolívar, cuya obra política integracionista tuvo su máxima expresión en la fundación de la Gran Colombia y el Congreso de Panamá, instancias que constituyen un referente histórico de la actualidad.
