Abstract

Este trabalho tem como tema a Constituição Federal de 1988 - um estudo histórico, político e social do caráter cidadão da carta brasileira. Estudar os fatos que levaram a promulgação da atual Carta Magna de nosso país, é, após vinte e cinco anos fato primordial, quer por fatores sociológicos, como jurídicos e políticos do país. Afinal, nunca uma tivemos em nossa história, um texto tão extenso e com tanto tempo de vigência. Para tanto, precisou-se resgatar o histórico, recorrendo a leitura de periódicos da época considerada pré e também pós 1988. Para que pudéssemos concluir que o processo de promulgação da Carta em vigência, foi fruto da manifestação popular, e também da vontade política, dos nem sempre concordantes congressistas daquela Assembléia Nacional Constituinte, encarregada de promulgar a nova ordem do país pós Regime Militar.
