Abstract

El presente ensayo intenta explorar dos temas inter-conexos, pero que mantienen diferentes explicaciones. Por un lado el fin de la república como la conocemos, por el otro el miedo. Si la post-modernidad produce fragmentación y anomia para lograr subsistir, como es posible que el miedo mantenga unida a la sociedad. En perspectiva, es necesario comprender que las dictaduras apelan al miedo como forma adoctrinadora, pero también lo hacen las democracias. La desjerarquización del mundo social pone a todos los individuos en igualdad de condiciones, empero la imposición de la tragedia hace de la incertidumbre una forma de expropiación. La pregunta central que este ensayo intenta responder es, ¿la globalización es funcional o disfuncional a la elite financiera?, ¿es la globalización la que lleva a la dictadura?
