Os Determinantes E As Estratégias Utilizadas Pelo Estado Brasileiro Para Conceber Os Grandes Projetos Na Amazônia-Brasil

Abstract

Este artigo se propõe a tecer uma breve avaliação sobre dois modelos distintos de desenvolvimento adotados para Amazônia que compreende o inicio da década de 70 até meados da década de 80, discorrendo sobre o processo de ocupação e colonização dirigida com a constituição de agrovilas as margens das grandes rodovias, deflagrado de 1970-73, até o processo de constituição de pólos industriais de exploração mineral e energética, deflagrado de 1974-85, como resposta as crises do setor petrolífero internacional ocorridas a partir de 1973. E ao final categoriza, através de um apanhado sócio-historico, o atual papel da Amazônia, enquanto fronteira de exploração econômica, na atual divisão internacional do trabalho.
