Saberes De Populações Tradicionais: Etnociência Em Processos De Bioconservação

Abstract

A partir dos processos que a etnociência proporciona através de seus métodos, as populações tradicionais passam a ser o foco de análise para a potencial manutenção dos recursos naturais, em especial a conservação biológica. Diante desse cenário, novas concepções vêm sendo merecedoras de discussões. Visando acessar esse universo discursivo sobre essa temática emergem questionamentos antagônicos à teoria. Os saberes das populações tradicionais sobre o meio natural são verdadeiramente valorizados? Até que ponto as populações tradicionais interferem na conservação biológica? A etnociência, a partir de seus fundamentos, permite na prática a construção de uma racionalidade ambiental através do saber local? As respostas a essas perguntas poderão revelar as relações entre os saberes das populações tradicionais e a etnociência em processos de bioconservação.
