Abstract

El presente artículo pretende mostrar la influencia de los valores protestantes (misión sagrada, excepcionalísimo) en la construcción de la nación estadunidense y la retórica política del George W. Bush. El uso politizado de alegorías y figuras religiosas se enmarca dentro de un contexto de larga tradición histórica, visando comprender la religión como un factor de identidad y cohesión ideológica.
