El Patronato Todo Por Tunas. Un Acercamiento A Su Historia

Abstract

En la ciudad de Victoria de Las Tunas las asociaciones se gestaron en el Período Colonial y alcanzan mayor desarrollo en las primeras décadas de la República Neocolonial. En este período surgieron diferentes sociedades que sin dejar de ser elitistas fomentaron la cultura en el pueblo, entre las que se destacaron El Liceo, la Sociedad Árabe y la China. Aportaron también al desarrollo de la cultura local las logias masónicas como instituciones fraternales, así como las sociedades de Instrucción y recreo. Entre las asociaciones de orden cívico, una de las que más aportó fue el Patronato ProArte la cual quedó más arraigada y afianzada en la memoria, surgida en la década de 1950, y el Patronato todo por Tunas, fundado en 1945, y sobre el cual trata este trabajo.
