As Fronteiras Do Simbólico: Um Dialogo Entre Comunidades Quilombolas, Identidade E Representação

Abstract

Discorremos no presente artigo, a respeito da construção das representações em torno das comunidades negras quilombolas no Brasil. Representações essas que perduram séculos, gerando com isso um olhar pejorativo em relação às comunidades quilombolas e a população afro-descente como um todo. Também procuramos relatar, como esses sujeitos, remanescentes de quilombo, vem se colocando na sociedade brasileira e a luta pelo reconhecimento da sua identidade, bem como, de seus territórios. Buscamos discutir o conceito de quilombo, enquanto base territorial e sobre a questão da identidade quilombola, como ela vem sendo construída, por esses sujeitos remanescentes de quilombo e as representações que são construídas em relação a essa identidade.
