Abstract

El presente estudio es un análisis de las relaciones internacionales en el año 1880, cuando se encontraba en Islas Turcas, donde tiene que enfrentarse a las presiones diplomáticas y militares españolas, que influyeron en el gobierno de este territorio inglés de ultramar. Ante esta situación Antonio tendrá que contar con las relaciones desarrolladas con los gobiernos de Inglaterra, Estados Unidos, y de República Dominicana. Este conocimiento del derecho internacional le permitirá solicitar el habeas corpus, al gobernador de Jamaica Anthony Musgrave, amparándose en su condición de perseguido político.
