Telesur, En Defensa De Lo Latinoamericano. La Cultura De Resistencia Y Liberación En Los Medios De Comunicación Masiva

Abstract

El presente artículo es una aproximación al tema de la cultura de resistencia y liberación que caracteriza a los pueblos de América Latina frente a la hegemonía mundial del imperialismo, pero específicamente cómo esta se manifiesta en el terreno mediático, y cómo los medios de comunicación masiva pueden contribuir a mantener y enriquecer dicha cultura a partir de su rol dentro de la sociedad. Para ello, en el artículo se analiza particularmente el caso del canal multinacional TeleSUR, que fue creado con el fin de difundir la realidad latinoamericana y caribeña, y constituir una alternativa a la supremacía comunicacional de las grandes trasnacionales mass mediáticas capitalistas.
