Abstract

El proceso de constitucionalización liberal español que culminaría en la redacción del texto doceañista, constituyó el catalizador para la entrada de la entonces colonia española de Cuba en la órbita del constitucionalismo. En la Isla, sin embargo, existían para entonces un cúmulo de condiciones económicas y teóricas que permitieron la inserción de sus grupos hegemónicos en la coyuntura liberal, desde una posición auténtica que les permitió conferir, desde el primer momento, forma constitucional a sus necesidades.
