Abstract

El presente trabajo aborda los fenómenos del caudillismo y del caciquismo, desde la óptica conceptual. A pesar de ser procesos ocurridos en Latinoamérica, se le dedica especial atención a Cuba, donde se realiza un detallado análisis de lo referente a esta problemática. Muy ligado a los términos anteriores se entrelaza el vocablo clientelismo, siendo este el elemento que los hace común. El texto permite que el lector comprenda las semejanzas y diferencias de tales términos, que en ocasiones son utilizados en un mismo contexto. Posee una bibliografía actualizada, mayormente enmarcada en autores que han polemizado sobre este tema.
