Abstract

El siglo XXI se ha inaugurado en un contexto económico, político, social y cultural marcado por lo que se ha dado en denominar "globalización" o "mundialización" neoliberal, es decir, una generalización de los valores e intereses de las fuerzas y grupos hegemónicos que dominan la producción y el mercado capitalistas a escala planetaria. Ello implica una visión marcadamente individualista y mercantil de la realidad humana, sin preocuparse por las enormes desigualdades económicas y sociales existentes; y lo que es peor: agravándolas y aumentándolas aún más.
