Abstract

La música campesina en Cuba constituye la base fundamental para el estudio de la cultura del país. En ella confluyen junto a escasos elementos de la población aborigen, culturas de diferentes etnias que conformaron el amplio mosaico cultural de la Isla. En Las Tunas la música campesina es síntesis de este proceso. Debido a ello se realizó esta investigación bajo el título de Principales géneros y representantes de la música campesina en el municipio de Las Tunas, con el objetivo de valorar con un enfoque crítico y creador, la música campesina en la localidad y con ello reafirmar la identidad cultural tunera a través de sus máximos exponentes y géneros que cultivan. Los resultados de esta investigación permitieron analizar la música campesina en el municipio a través de sus componentes étnicos y su presencia en la localidad como parte indisoluble de nuestra conformación como nación y su salvaguarda como reafirmación de nuestra identidad.
