Abstract

El presente artículo es el resultado de una investigación que analiza la relación que existe entre las políticas públicas reflejadas en la gestión gubernamental, con la creación de municipios en México. Para ello, se revisó la base conceptual y la contextualización de las políticas públicas en los gobiernos locales, la problematización que orienta el estudio y se examinaron las evidencias documentales, experiencias y conflictos en algunas entidades federativas del país, durante el periodo 1990-2005, acerca de los procesos de municipalización, además de una exhaustiva revisión bibliográfica.
